The ones that started it all!
The whole reason I learned to knit was just for this pattern.
Maybe someday I'll get around
to making it!

Jumbo Knit

I just LOVE this! It looks so quick and easy, the whole thing can probably be made in a weekend if not sooner. Of course, it requires a slip or body suit, but it's worth it! It's from a summer book, but I think it might be more appropriate for fall.

Knit with three different strands of yarn on "Reynolds aluminum Jumbo Jet Knitting Needles" - no size is given. The red stripes are reverse stockinette.

Gauge: 1 st = 1"   ...Yikes!

Comments:
Reynolds Jumbo Jets were size 50, and Junior Jumbo Jets were size 35. Bagsmith.com carries basswood needles in both those sizes under their 'Big Stitch' section. They have them up to 32" in length, which is enough to knit a queen-sized blanket or big rugs!

* Patern Copies - I actually have most of the patterns for the clothing shown here, but due to copyright laws, I cannot copy/scan/post any of them. Please don't ask. However, I will be happy to let you know the name and details of the magazine or book it came from
and perhaps you can locate it through an antique store or online.
